Sundance 2011

Last Friday Kaylene and I took the day off from work and headed to Park City Utah for the Sundance film festival . I couldn't believe the traffic up there and I am not used to driving in Park City and and before I knew it I had taken the wrong turn looking for parking and found myself trying to get onto Main street which is where I didn't want to be. There were pedestrians everywhere and trying to manuver my car on that tiny street was a challenge, but after a few minutes we found parking and were on our way to find us some stars.

This is a picture from the parking garage isn't it just beautiful up there?

I don't know if you can see but there are skiers on the mountain.

This is just an Alley that we walked through to get to Main Street. I thought it was cool!

When we first got there we texted our friend Emily to find out where she was and she let us know that she was standing across the street from Ryan Secrest. Oh kaylene and I booked it to get there to see him but when we got there we had just missed him by seconds. Dang It!!!

In this picture you can see them just taking all the camera equipment down and he is nowhere to be seen. Oh well.

So we stood there for a little while hoping he would come out but after about 30 of waiting and no Ryan we decided to head down the street and see if we could see anyone else.
Just a cute picture of my Kaylene!!!

We were walking past this pub when all of a sudden I notice Emily is getting an autograph from someone and I couldn't tell by the back of his head who it was. So after he passed they told me it was Paul Giamatti, Who is that you are asking? Well.. the only movie I know him from is Fred Clause he was the Santa in that movie. Kaylene said that she has seen him in alot more.

In this picture you can just see the back of his head there in front of Emily So after that Emily and her other friends went to catch a movie and Kaylene and I decided to go into this Visitors Info place to get WARM and to get a guide for Sundance and there Kaylene spotted J.K. Simmons. Again not sure who he was but Kaylene knew him. By now we had been there less than an hour and seen two famous people. We were so excited to get back out there and continue our day.

We got to the end of Main street and were crossing the street when all of a sudden we spotted a crowd and this cute man was signing autographs, I didn't know who he was but Kaylene really wanted me to go up to him to get his autograph. So I did. He was so nice. He asked me how my day was going and when I told him it was great he just said, that is what I like to hear. I am so happy your having a great time up here. It turned out to be Ben Foster, I don't know who he was but it was just fun to talk to him.
Here is some pictures of him, sorry the one is kinda blurry.

This is a picture from the bridge we were standing on looking for the famous. Beautiful Main Street.

Here are some more pictures of the people we spotted.

This Ladies name was Rachael. She must have been a model. Alot of her fans had pictures of her to sign, so I am thinkin Model.

This lady everyone knew but she just ran passed all of us, eating her cupcake.

Oh wait... that's me with my new haircut!!!

Then as we were making our way back up the street, Kaylene says mom I know that guy. I think it might be Rob Lowe. So we followed him(like the stalkers we are) and I caught the side of his face and told Kaylene that, thats not Rob Lowe that is Tim Daly from wings.(I was so excited i actually knew this one) We got pretty close and took these nice shots!

We weren't able to get any tickets for the films so we walked and walked and walked up and down Main steet. The weather was so beautiful, I have to honest in all the 28 years that I have lived here in Utah I have never been to Park City in the winter. I know shocking huh? But I am not a skier and I hate to be cold and lets face it when its cold down here in North Salt Lake it's even colder up there.

We had such a fun day, but when the sun started to go down so did the temps and I was to cold to stay any longer, so we headed for home. We are already thinking of next year and planning on getting tickets to some movies early so we are sure to see one or two.
and then on our way out of Parleys Canyon this was our view.

What a great Friday!!!
