The Highlight Of My Week

I found out about a month ago that my favorite author, Mary Higgins Clark would be coming to Layton on April 21st, so of course I was all excited to go. I asked Kaylene if she wanted to go and surprisingly enough, she said yes. I have read most of her books, so I was very excited to meet her. So last Tuesday Kaylene and I along with some of our dear friends headed to Northridge High School in Layton. The paper said she would be speaking at 7 pm, so if you wanted a good seat to come early, and the doors opened at 6:30 pm. So we did, we got there about 5:45 and it was amazing how many people were already there. So we made our way through, past the line that was to buy her book.( I was smart and had already purchased mine at Costco) to our spot on the stairs and waited for the doors to open. At 6:30 the doors opened and it was a mad dash for the front row. We got to our seats and I could hardly stand the wait. Finally out she came with her daughter (who is also a mystery writer) and everyone of us gave them a standing ovation. They talked for an hour and then they announced that they would be signing books so out we went to get in line. If you notice, the end of the line ends pretty much behind the guy in the white shirt way over there against the wall, there is just a couple of people behind him. Now from where he is standing the authors are almost straight across. Yeah it was crazy! It took us almost two hours to get up to the table where they were. But hey we were having fun talking and watching all these people. But Finally we were getting close. Mary Higgins is the one in blue, with her daughter Carol

After 2 hours it was our turn. We talked for just a short minute and then we got our picture taken with them. See the stairs to the right? Yeah, that's where we sat to wait to get in. These ladies were so nice to talk too. They even thanked us for waiting for hours to get to them. I was so glad that I was able to do this.
If you are ever looking for a great mystery book to read, I would suggest you pick up Mary Higgins Clark. You won't be disappointed. People ask me which one is my favorite book of hers and I have to say every time, "Before I Say Goodbye". I am almost done with her new book and I have to say it is very good.

My Day Off!

Wow 2 posts in one day hope it's not to much for you, but i have to post about this.

So this morning I took the day off from work and went to see the Good Things Utah Show with what I thought was going to be the Relief Society, but alot of the ladies were out of town so, it ended up just being the three of us, Tammy Clayton, Laurie Evertsen and Me. The show was good and we had alot of fun. We each won a gift from the trivia questions that we answered corectly, so it pays to go to the show. My question was which one of the hosts worked at a Mcdonalds? Who know's this?... Oh yeah Tammy Clayton did, so she wispered it to me and i raised my hand (the only one that did) and answered Angie! Yep that's right I won! Thanks Tammy, your the best!( How do you know this stuff? Your not a stalker are you? Just kidding)

After I got home from the show, Kaylene and I went to see the new Hannah Montana Movie. Now I am not much of a Hannah Montana fan, but I really liked this movie, and I am so glad I went to see it. And boy was that theater just full of little girls, but it was worth it. So if you want to see a good, easy going, movie that's a good choice.

My Girl!

I was looking through some of my pictures on my computor and came across some of the ones that Holly had done for us and these are just some of my favorites, So I thought I would Share.
By the look on Kaylene's face that water is darn cold. What a trooper!
