Black Friday

Yes I am a crazy woman, but I absolutely love to go out at 3:30 in the morning only on black Friday and stand in line for some awesome deals. I look forward to this day weeks before.This year I was a little sad because for as long as I can remember my dear friend and I have gone together and waited in line in the freezing cold and snow just laughing and talking, waiting for the doors to open,open,open! But this year we split up she went in line at Target I sent Kaylene to Walmart for my DS and Beccie waited in line at Walmart for Video's and I was in line at Walmart to get my 42" TV. YES I got it with alot of help from my son, I seriously think if he wasn't there i would not of had a chance. there was alot of big guys there waiting till the time that they could get their TV, and one of them got a little mean with Reese Jay when he (Reese j)tried to move this guys cart out of the way to grab my tv. I had to tell Reese Jay that the TV wasn't worth this humongous guy turning around and decking him, so I saw an opening and put my hands on it and Reese Jay came over and picked it up for me. You know it's sad that this fun day has to bring out the worst in people.
So after I got my TV, I called Reese(he will not do black friday) who was ready for the call to come get the TV. I then headed for Smiths Marketplace(FRED MEYER) for socks and other stuff I can't say cuz I know people are reading this. But the high light of my day was when I ran into Amy Ambler who was 2nd in line at Walmart for the WII who had been in line since 10 pm the night before. She got the WII way to go Amy!
So anyway my day was very successful and i got to hang with my dear friends, Patti,Chelsea, Kaylene,Beccie, Mandi oh and I even ran into Kim and Rachelle, but i have to say I was sad that it was over. Kaylene and i (after a couple of hours sleep) ended our day going to the movies and seeing Twilight, and i was a little worried that I wouldn't like it but I have to say I really liked the movie. Thanks Kaylene for going with me.

My Worst Weekend!

On Friday I got up and took keeters to the bus,then went to Wendy's so we could walk, well as we were walking I started to feel funny, my leg muscles didn't want to work and I just thought it had something to do with the walk we took the morning before. But no, I got home took a 20 minute shower but (which is wierd for me cuz I am usually 10 min tops) I just couldn't get warm. Before i left for work I told Reese that I didn't feel right. So I went to work was there for only about 45 min when all of a sudden I felt REALLY sick. I told the lady I work with that I had better go and I called Tammy Clayton who was so nice to come in and work for me,I got home around 10:25 and crawled right into bed. Yep folks that's right I caught the nasty FLU. I fell asleep by 10:30 am and woke up at 6pm with a high fever i took some tylenol and went right back to sleep,I woke up a couple of hours later drenched,Yay, my fever broke.
So I spent the rest of the weekend in bed. And the good news is that, it's Sunday evening and I am feeling sooooo much better. I am just so glad I have had it now and hopefully won't get it again this year. To those of you that have had it you know what i am talking about and those of you that haven't yet, LOOK OUT!

Kaylene's Day 11-1-08

Beccie and I had a blast planning this special day for Kaylene. Kaylene we want to thank you for being such a good sport at the DI and trying on anything that Beccie and I picked out for you. We love you Kaylene and we hope you had as much fun as we did.

WHY?????

I decided this past week that it was time to decorate my yard for Halloween before the day came and went. Plus one of my dear friends who's name I won't say told me last week that it wasn't like me not to have decorations out. So i called up Jenny Stephens who was so nice to let me come and get the corn stalks from her garden, then I went up to Gails for the pumpkins and I headed home all excited to decorate. I got all done and thought this looks good but i just need something else so while I was at the store I spotted this cute little pumpkin that would look so cute on the hay bale next to the scarecrow so I bought it, came home and placed it and might I say it looked just right. Well last night I had to go to a Enrichment Night Committee meeting, and on the way home at the bottom of my street was this smashed up pumpkin and I thought oh how sad then it hit me I am the only one on the street right now with pumpkins out. Yep you guessed it, there lay my cute little round pumpkin smashed to pieces. WHY do kids think this is so fun to do? I was so mad and I am not sure why it's just a silly little pumpkin. So last i decided that I will replace it but this time it will be plastic.

My Sweet Daughter In Law.

I must say that I have the best daughter in law that any mom could ask for. As many of you know my baby will turn 19 on Saturday, and this past week Beccie came to me and asked me if there were any plans for her special day. Well sorry to say that there wasn't. We have all just been so busy either working or house work or school, so i really didn't have anything in mind. So she told me that we had to make this day fun for her. So her and I sat down and threw some things out and we finally came up with a very fun day.
The sad thing was that we couldn't do it on the 25th, (her actual birthday) cuz her dad and brother will be up in the hills hunting deer, so we planned it for the 1st of November.We then decided that we better tell Kaylene the date, cuz she is a pretty busy 19 (well almost) year old.
Sorry i can't go into details cuz, you know who, can't find out till the 1st. But we are way excited. I want Beccie to know how much i appreciate her and all she brings to this family and a BIG thank you for thinking of Kaylene when her own mother wasn't doing much thinking.

Mandi's Day!

Ok so I told you that today is Mandi's birthday and that we had a fun day planned for her so this is what we did for her. First off we took her to lunch to... you guessed it Joy Luck, then we got in the van and headed south, we played a song as a clue and she guessed it right off where we were taking her. We were taking her to Park City. Oh it was so much fun. Holly, Kaylene and I pulled together to pay for Mandi's pass onto the Alpine Slide and Coaster ride it was so much fun!!!!We rode the lift up to the top of the mountain

We got off the lift and with our sleds in tow we headed for the slide. Holly and Mandi went down first then it was Kaylene and i next. Oh my gosh this time coming down I hardly used the brake and I was flyin down this thing.

We then went over to the coaster ride where we got into our little cars
and headed once again for the top of the mountain.It took awhile to get up to the top so while I had time to myself I took advantage of the beauty around me and took some pictures.

The colors were so beautiful and the temparture was just right. All in all we had a fun day and it doesn't end today, another part of her gift was some money in a card that we all gave her for a shopping trip next thursday to the factory outlets. Hunting With My Honey

I had Wednesday off from work and Reese had planned to go hunting so i decided to tag along.We got up early dropped keeters off at the bus and headed for the hills above Strawberry Resivoir. We saw A couple of doe's with thier fawns and alot of cows but no bucks. The only buck we saw was one that another hunter had gotten. While we were driving around i decided to get my camera out and take some pictures of the beautiful scenery that was before me. So here is one of my favorites.



Then as we were coming out of the canyon i saw this thisle bush and decided to stop and get a picture. Don't you just love the Bee's? It was way cool!



So we had a great day, he wasn't able to get anything but as he said, the most important part of our trip was that we were able to have some much needed time with each other.

Expo Night!

Well it's almost been a week since I posted about us girls going to the Expo. That was a very fun evening we left Holly's around 5:30 and headed strait to the Mayan restaraunt for dinner, after about 25 minute wait we were seated and the whole place was really fun. The divers were fun to watch but the food wasn't all that good, but I was just happy to be out with my friends. After dinner it was strait across the street for the expo. There was so much to look at I got some good buys. I was even able to purchase a cricut cartridge for my cricut machine that i had been looking for for awhile and it was 15.00 cheaper yahoo! So anyway after the Expo we all went back to Holly's for pictures of our loot, and then Holly says "We should do a Dennys Run" So we did. Just imagine 5 ladies in Denny's at midnight just laughing and having a great time. Oh I had the carmel pie and ice cream thingy and it was delicious! After about an hour there, we then thought it would a load of fun to go put these letters that we bought at the Expo on Julie Odor's door so we did, and they ( i was to tired to get out of the car) spelled BOO in blue and pink letters. Very Funny! And that's how our evening ended. So I had a great time and I can't wait till the next one in 6 month's.

Can Hardly Stand It.

Ok it's 4:15 and I just got home from work (I survived my week)and I am sitting here watching the clock tick away sooooooooooooooo slowly. 5 O'clock can't get here soon enough.You know one thing I hate about waiting for some awesome event to get here is that, you are just so excited for it(and it takes foerever to here)and when the great event finally arrives the it's over just like that. Well anyway that's my feelings on the whole thing. Ok well I better go now I only have 25 minutes before i go YAY!!!!!!!!!! I'll blog about my night,tomorrow.

Expo Is The Best Medicine

Well this week has been a long and hard week for me. I will have worked every day this week,and on top of that when I get home I have been helping reese take down some trees on the side of our house which is taking awhile cuz he works and when we get to it we only have an hour before the sun goes down. Well long story short the only thing that keeps me going is that I keep reminding myself that my friends and I have the expo on Friday,and surprisingly enough I have the energy to keep going. See you girls on Friday. YAY!! I know Iam silly but you are my friends and you already knew that!!

My New Tool That Makes Me Happy

Last Saturday morning i was watching this scrapbooking program and they showed this paper trimmer that was so awesome and one i had never seen before. It has changable blades in all different types of shapes like scallop (which i just love)and a scoring blade, pinking, and a couple of others that i have forgotten. Well anyway I just had to get this, so I started to look everywhere and I couldn't find it. So I decided that I would just check for it at the scrapbook expo(Oh Ya I am going and can't wait to go).
But i was up in Kaysville this week and i thought hey i need to check Ben Franklins out, and there it was, Oh i got so excited, well until i saw the price of $29.99, but i remembered I had the Ben's 40% coupon which then made it only 17.99. It was meant to be mine.So i got it and a couple of the other blades and brought it home and played with it. Can I just say I LOVE IT! I can't wait to use it more in my scrapbooking and card making. Who ever came up with this is brilliant!!!

Night At The Play

Tonight kaylene and I went to RMT to see Pirated.It was so funny.
There was a tap dance number that was pretty awesome. Our next outing to the play will be Oct. 30th when we will see Jekyl and Hyde. I can't wait.

Well Kaylene has put in her first week of collage life.I have to tell you I was a little sad on monday. The nice thing is that she will be living at home and going to Weber (the Davis campus). She is just doing her generals for now, then she will decide later what she wants to become. I was able to take a picture of her on the first day, like i have done all these years past. But this year she told me that this was retarded that she shouldn't have to have her picture taken but i told her just humor me, as she is trying to run out the front door. So here is her picture. The Day At Pineview

Kaylene and I had the oppurtunity Thursday to go to pineview with the Larrabee family(Beccie's parents). We started our day at 5 am, we had to be over at thier house by 5:45 to leave by 6. When we got on the water a little after 7 the water was like glass. It was awesome. We started tubing, oh man we had so much fun.
After everyone had a turn on the tube and others skied we headed for the beach to spend some time there. We hung out and then it was back into the boat for some more tube action. The Larrabee's have this thing they call a tube off, so two people go and the one that falls off first has to return to the boat, the one on the tube takes on the next person and so on. Well this lasted a little while and it turned out that Beccie was the winner. ( oh by the way i wasn't part of this)
So after that Izzy(beccie's niece)(i call her izzy her name is Isabelle) said she wanted to go slow and wanted to go with me and i was all for that, i love to go slow. We get on the tube and she yells to her grandpa that she is ready and that he better go slow, so he did, but when he reved up the engine to go,she got a little scared and yelled, so i tried to calm her down and while doing so i was showing her where to hang on and the next thing i knew the front of the tube was going into the water and i knew at that point we were going in. And we did, but when i came up i was a little disorented and when i saw the boat i knew which direction the tube would be but the scary part of this story was that i couldn't find Izzy, i looked around and saw that her little body was trapped under the tube. So i quickly lifted the tube to find a very freaked out lttle girl, gasping for air and screaming at the top of her lungs. I held onto her till the boat came around, and everyone on the boat could her screaming (as well as, i am sure, everyone else on the lake,) so when they pulled up they were clapping and telling Izzy that she pushed Tammy off the tube and that she won. She started to calm down and all she wanted was to get back into the boat as i started to lift her into the boat she started screaming noooo i want to swim. Well anyway things turned out good and we had a blast. Thanks to the Larrabees for an awesome day. Here are some pics!

Movie Night

Last night Kaylene and I went and saw Dark Night and oh may i say it was AWESOME!!! I wasn't sure i was gonna like it, but i loved it. Can't wait to see it again. This is one DVD i'll be buying.

Snow/Nielsen Annual Cabin Trip

So last weekend Reese and I, Kaylene, Reese Jay and Beccie, went with our good friends the Snows,(Russ,Patti,Chelsea,Ciera and Kaylee)to thier cabin in Joes Valley. We had a great time. We weren't able to do any water activities due to the major thunder storms that showed up around noon both days we were there. So we had alot of fun inside playing board games, teaching Beccie Philidelphia Rummy, ( very fun card game, alot like phase 10) and just visiting. All the guys did go to the resevoir and do some fishing. I guess Reese Jay was the only one that caught a fish but he released it and of course none of them had a camera so there is no proof, but he did say it was a small rainbow trout. Way to go Reese Jay! well here are a few pics of our fun trip. Thanks again to the snow's for inviting us. We love you guys!!!

Day With My Girls!

So today i was able to have my best friends girls Ciera and Kaylee down to my house for a day of making cards, and boy am i glad i did. We had so much fun. I kinda had to lead them on the layout and we talked about what would be cute then they picked thier colors and this is what we came up with. I think they did a terrific job. the only thing I regret is not getting thier pictures of them with the cards they made. Oh well! When we were done and I was taking them out to meet thier mom they asked me if we could do this like once a month, well of course i was all for that. Anytime i can get the chance to make cards I'm there! Love Ya girls, Thanks for a great day!

Great 3D Movie

So Kaylene and I took our little friend Kaylee Snow to a movie yesterday and the movie that we went to see was Kung FU Panda,but when we got to the theater the 1:55 showing wasn't available due to some big group that bought that showing out. so we decided to see Journey To The center Of The Earth in 3D. It was such a good movie. I would totally recomend it.

RMT Presents Footloose

Kaylene and I had our mom and daughter night last night.We started our night with dinner at Joy Luck then it was off to see the play Footloose at Rodgers Memorial Theater.It was amazing!! The music was awesome. Everyone of the actors played thier part so well. They even came out in to the audience at the end of the play and said to get up and dance to the song footloose. I didn't of course but a couple of people did. But it was alot of fun. But I think the one thing that totally made the evening was having the oppurtunity to hang out with one of my bestest friends.

Back In My Element

Well now that i have the wedding behind me, girls camp behind me,and no other projects on my desk that have to be done, i found myself back where i like to be. Behind my desk making cards or scrapbooking. Tuesday night around 10 pm i was wide awake(due to a hour and a half nap 3 hours earlier)and bored. So i decided to see if i still had it in me to make cards. I sat down looked at the stamp set that i had barrowed from my sweet friend Mandi and whipped out a couple of cards. The first one i made was just a copy of hers but the second one was one i found online. I really liked it. I think it turned out pretty good. So yes i am back crafting again and loving it!

Hey There!

I finally had some time to sit down and post on my blog. I have been pretty busy since i got home from park city. Oh and by the way, we had a blast. We rode the extreme Zip Line which was the best ride ever. Then we went on the alpine slide, and that was alot of fun, except i think i went to slow for the girls, oh well i'll know better next time. But anyway we had a great time just being there and being with just the girls. I came home from Park City and jumped right in on getting ready for girls camp. I have always been on the other end of girls camp, so being the assistant to the camp directer is very hard work. I'll never look at girls camp the same way ever again. I applaude all the camp directers out there you guys are awesome!!! I have had alot of fun doing this, and i am so excited to go. We leave on Monday and i just can't wait! Well i better get to bed but when i get back i will have pictures to post so until then, have a good week everybody, oh and Happy Fourth!!!

This morning Kaylene had her wisdom teeth pulled. I didn't go for the surgery cuz i have a hard time watching my children go through things that make them hurt so i sent Reese. Ha Ha Ha! She got home before i had to leave for work and i am sad to say that my baby looked so sad. she was starting to feel the pain, and i saw her look in the window of the car at her reflection and i think she wanted to cry, which made me even more sad. But she is doing fine tonight, she spent most of the day watching movies and playing video games. I know she is happy to have this all over with. Good Job Keeners!

Our Trip To Disneyland

WE'RE BACK!

Well we are back now. We got home around 7:00 pm last night. We had a blast on our vacation. Sea World was alot of fun. I got to much sun there though. I wasn't feeling very well so i made sure i was drinking enough water and i bought me a hat, then i started to better by the time the Shamu show started at 4:30pm. We have alot of pics that i need to add so i will, very soon. Kaylene will be posting her photos of her experience with the trainer of the day program so check out her blog in the next few days. Well it might be longer since she is getting her wisdom teeth out on Tuesday. But she will post soon. We are glad to be back, except kaylene said to me this morning lets go back now i miss it there. So i guess i am glad we are back, to be able to see my friends that i missed terribly. Now i will be busy getting ready for girls camp, we leave June 30 and come home July 3, i have alot of stuff to do to be ready for it. Hey if any of you have an idea for a devotional on a pure heart, or worthy heart, or something along that line, i would love it. I have to give one at camp and it only has to be 3 minuts or less so any ideas send them my way.

Our Vacation

HELLO TO ALL from San Diego! We arrived here about 3 hours ago first thing kaylene and i did was go swimming in the out door heated pool! It was a good thing it was heated too, cuz it's only 63 degrees outside. We had planned on hangin at the beach today but the weather would not permit us to do that, so we hung out at the pool and the jacuzzi. After we swam we went to eat at the IN- N-OUT burger place which i had never been to before. The food was good, glad i went. We then headed to Sea World just to make sure we knew our way there, cuz we have to have Kaylene there by 8 am so she can participate in the trainer for the day program. We then came back to the hotel just in time for the rain to start so we probably wont be swimming anymore tonight. Oh Well! We spent 2 days in disneyland, we had so much fun kaylene and i stayed till 11:30 pm on monday night got a little lost on the way back to our hotel (which was just across the street from disneyland, How? don't ask i am still a little embarrased about the whole thing.) Just so you know( in case you talk to her) i should have listened to Kaylene she was right all a long on the direction we should go. Anyway we returned safely back to our hotel around 12 and fell into bed and was out in minutes. We were so tired! The next day was a little to long, by the end of our day we were all amusment parked out. So it was nice to have today off our feet. Well i must go kaylene wants to play a game, but i will post more later. We miss you all and see you soon! Love you guys!

My Birthday Scavenger Hunt

So on Thursday i was sitting there on the couch and Kaylene came up to me holding an envelope and a video camera in her hand,she told me i had to open it so i did. And when i did it was a clue from Holly and Mandi for a scavenger hunt. I got so excited cuz it's been a long time since i had done this but at the same time i am not very good at figuring out clues and i didn't want to look stupid on camera, but i was so excited. So i jumped up off the couch and headed for the car. I ended up at our church building for clue #2, then it was off to our favorite place to get hot chocolate,the guy at the counter was so nice when i told him i needed my next clue, he smiled, pointed to the bag(which i counldn't miss it was in a green bag with a green balloon, my favorite color.)we got in the car i read my next clue and we headed to the centerville wal mart,found the green balloon with the green bag(oh i forgot to say that with every clue i got i recieved another gift. it was awesome!)then it was off to Reese J and Beccies apartment i read my clue then it was off to Micheals, where i recived my last clue and this is what it said, Your almost done, you're almost a winner! Meet us at our favorite resturant- and we'll buy you dinner. And where would that be you guessed it JOY LUCK! YUMMY! It was the best! the hunt was so much fun and most importantly i didn't look stupid! I LOVE YOU GIRLS SO MUCH!! Thanks for a great evening.

Upcoming Graduation

Well here we are. It's graduation time. With only four days of school left i decide it was time to get things ready for kaylene's graduation so kaylene and i spent most of our evening working on her Graduation Announcements. It's so hard to think that my baby will be graduating from high school. I am so proud of her and of all the things that she has accomplished to get to this point in her life. She isn't quite sure yet what she wants to become but her sights are on either Marine Biolgy or an EMT or something else in the medical feild. I know that whatever she chooses to do she will be very good at it.

Feelin' Goovy

Tonight Kaylene and I had our mother, daughter date at the Rodgers Memorial Theater we saw the play feelin' groovy. It was music from the 60s and 70s. It was alot of fun clappin and singin to some fun music. Oh ya we also went to Joy Luck for dinner and you guessed it I had the usual Tangerine Chicken no spice. It was Yummy! After the play we ended our evening at Artic Circle for a Strawberry shake for me and a Nutterbutter shake for Kaylene. Thanks Kaylene for such a fun night! I love you!

Great Book

So last night i sat down to watch American Idol and the Jazz game which were on at the same time, i was almost done with the book i was reading so i thought well during commersials i will read cuz i really wanted to see how this story ends. So i did that till 11:30 when the Jazz game finally ended and by then i only had about 4 chapters left so i decided i am just way into this book to set it down so lets just finish it. Boy am i glad i did. IT WAS AWESOME!!! If you have never read Mary Higgins Clark books, YOU NEED TO! The one thing i love about her books is that you always think you know who committed the murder then it turns out to be some one that you really liked and never thought they could do it. Anyway great book. I finally got to bed around 12:30, I was pretty tired this morning when the alarm went off at 6:30 but it was worth it.

Mothers Day Gift

Just wanted to show off my new toy my hubby got me for mothers day. I actually told him about it a while ago so he new i wanted it. It is the Cuttlebug. I love it! It embosses for me so easily. I probably wont use it alot for die cutting cuz i have the Cricut but oh i love that i can emboss on the front of my card or whatever i might be working on. I seriously need more time in the day to play with my toys.

A Sweet Surprise

Yesterday after i got home from work my sweet hubby handed me a box that fed ex had delivered earlier that day. And inside this box was two dozen rose that he bought for me for mothers day. I was so excited to get these. I love him, he is such a sweet, thoughtful, wonderful guy.THANKS REESE!!!
